Terms
Terms of Service
Effective 3 September 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Zynclave Tech Private Limited (“Sanchr”, “we”, “us”) for the use of the Sanchr apps and service. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter into this agreement where you live.
- You register with a phone number that you are authorised to use. You are responsible for that number and for keeping your devices, passcode, App Lock and registration lock PIN secure.
- One account per phone number. If you change number, register the new one; we cannot move your encryption keys for you.
- You are responsible for everything sent from your account, and you must tell us if you believe it has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Sanchr to:
- break any law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
- harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate or spam other people;
- send malware, or try to access, probe or disrupt the service, its infrastructure or other users’ devices;
- collect other users’ data by automated means, or resell or commercially redistribute the service;
- reverse engineer the apps except where the law allows it, or circumvent security or rate limits.
You may block anyone, and you may report abuse to us. Because message content is encrypted, a report can include only what you choose to share with us.
4. Encryption, delivery and backups
- Messages, calls and media are end-to-end encrypted. We cannot read them, and we cannot recover them if you lose your device or your keys.
- Messages waiting for delivery are held as ciphertext for a limited time and then discarded. Media attachments expire after a period; the recipient may need to ask you to send them again.
- Backups are encrypted with a recovery key that only you hold. If you lose the key, the backup cannot be restored by anyone, including us.
- Delivery, read receipts and presence indicators are best-effort features and may be turned off by either party.
5. The service and changes to it
We work to keep Sanchr available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may set limits such as message size, attachment size or rate limits. During any beta or pre-release period the service may be less stable, and data created during that period may not be preserved.
6. Your content
You own what you send. Because it is encrypted, we do not use it for anything. You grant us only the limited technical permission needed to transmit and temporarily store the encrypted data so that it can be delivered to the people you send it to.
7. Our software and marks
The Sanchr apps, service and brand are owned by Zynclave Tech. Where we publish source code, it is licensed under the licence stated with that code. You may not use the Sanchr name or logo to suggest endorsement without our written permission.
8. Ending the agreement
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Security → Delete Account. This ends the agreement and removes your account data from our servers as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we are required by law to close, or that has been inactive for an extended period, giving notice where we reasonably can.
- Sections 6 to 11 survive termination.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law. Sanchr is not a replacement for emergency services: you cannot call emergency numbers through it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Zynclave Tech and its directors, employees and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim and INR 5,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. We encourage you to contact us first; most issues can be resolved directly.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will show a notice in the app before they take effect; continuing to use Sanchr after that date means you accept the new terms. The current version is always at sanchr.com/terms.
